About Tucker and Tabby:
Our favorite four-legged authors, Tucker (a dog) and Tabby (a cat) share their advice on caring for furballs like themselves. They might throw in a few human tricks as well.
I’m hearing my humans talking about giving me a microchip. WTF does that mean?! I ran off ONCE and that was because this squirrel was teasing me. I know the Humans were upset, but I made my way home – eventually. So break it to me guys, What is a dog microchip/cat microchip and why should I have to get one for my dog/cat?
Tabby: You dogs and your silly squirrel fascination. Listen, your humans were probably really worried about you. This is a way for them to always know where you are. If you have a pet that’s anything like Tucker here and could possibly wander off, get confused or lost.
Tucker: Hey, there’s a lot of world out there to explore!
Tabby: A microchip is implanted just under his skin, contains your information, and enables a vet or shelter to identify him should you be separated. Being an indoor cat is really looking up right now.
Tucker: Sounds like there could be a bit of an ouch factor here, Tabs. Obviously, with the way you spend your days, it might not be a bad call for every pet to be microchipped then. Whadya say?
